I think it was the end of September 2009 that Guy passed me an email informing me he’d “booked a journey”! At first I didn’t realise it would mean I’d actually be riding in the Enduro Africa 2010 and helping to raise money for charities as Unicef, Nelson Mandela Children’s fund, Sentebale and Touch Africa, but I’m so looking forward to it and glad to be part it.
It appealed directly to me because I lived in Senegal for several years and was always impressed by the Paris – Dakar race. I have already helped raise funds to support projects drilling water wells in the very dry areas in the north of Senegal (mainly through donations from friends and family in Holland).
Now obviously a dream is becoming reality hopefully having the ride of a lifetime and raising money for these fantastic charities. Please support us to make their dreams come true as well.
The race is ours. The donations are for these thankful people in Africa.
Help us to give them a future, a future in good health.
Thank you all for your support,
I will ride as fast as I can for you.
Donald.
